Abducted minor boy rescued in Shillong

A seven-year-old boy, who was kidnapped from Uttar Pradesh allegedly by a couple, was rescued from a hotel here today, police said.
The couple had kidnapped the boy from Jhuara village following which they came to the capital of Meghalaya, East Khasi Hills SP M Kharkhrang said.
He said after receiving information from Sultanpur Police, a check was conducted in the hotel which led to the victim's rescue, he said.
The accused were identified as Shyamsundar Shitala Prasad Shukla and his wife Shalini Shyamsundar Shukla and both hail from Nongmynsong area in the city.
They have been arrested.
The SP said the accused were earlier arrested in a similar case.
