Babu (35) was wanted in connection with the murder of a local AIADMK leader in Kariyapattinam limits in 2007 and since then was he was absconding, police said.
Based on a tip-off, a special police team from Kariyapattinam arrested him on the outskirts of Velliangiri, they said.
