Absconding life-convict held

A 27-year-old life convict, who allegedly fled from the custody of police soon after being admitted at a hospital here in June, has been arrested, police said today.
The accused, identified as Karambir alias Sonu, has been a sharp-shooter with a criminal gang and has allegedly been involved in several heinous crimes, including robbery and murder, police said.
According to police, the convict is a history-sheeter and has previously served imprisonment terms in jails of Gurgaon, Faridabad and Sonepat.
On June 27 this year, Sonu had developed some medical issue for which he was brought to Safdarjung Hospital here from where he had escaped and was nabbed today, police said.
