Governor-designate Devvrat, who would arrive here tomorrow, will be administered oath of office by Chief Justice of High Court Justice Mansoor Ahmed Mir.
He would be 27th Governor and 18 the regular Governor of the state since January 1971, when Himachal was granted full statehood.
Himachal Pradesh was a Union territory till January 1971 and six Lt Governors adored the Raj Bhawan. Only three out of 18 regular governors -- S Chakravarty (January 25, 1971 to February 1977), V S Kokje (May 8, 2003 to July 19, 2008) and Urmilla Singh (January 25, 2010 to January 24,2015) completed their full term in Raj Bhawan while remaining fifteen Governors were either shifted to some other state in the mid term, resigned from the post or made unceremonious exit.
