ACSU's report on BPL likely after Aug 12

ICC's Anti-Corruption and Security Unit's report on the alleged corruption in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) is likely to be out after August 12 as the Bangladesh Cricket Board has asked the investigation body to submit its report after the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays.
BCB president Nazmul Hassan said the report will be ready within the next nine days and also hinted that two other cricketers, whose names are doing the round in Bangladesh media, could be implicated in the corruption charges.
"I understand that the report will be completed by August 5," Hassan told ESPNcricinfo.
"They (ACSU) wanted to submit it on August 8 or 9, but we asked them to come just after Eid, on August 12 or 13. Whatever names I have read in the paper, that is what I have been hearing unofficially. I haven't heard of anyone of Ashraful's stature (being implicated)," he added.

Names of two cricketers have been doing the rounds in Bangladeshi newspapers ever since former player Mohammad Ashraful admitted his role in the corruption to the ACSU investigative officers.
Hassan believes Ashraful will get some "benefit" as he confessed to ACSU and has also helped the body in its investigation.

"Just like all the other cricket boards and the ICC, we also firmly believe in zero tolerance towards match-fixing. Because Ashraful has admitted to his involvement and helped the ACSU, he may get some benefit. This is strictly my opinion, I am not sure if that is what the ACSU will do," he said.

One of the most talented cricketers to emerge from Bangladesh, Ashraful was named in the match fixing controversy and was suspended by BCB till completion of ICC inquiry last month.
The former skipper then sought apology to the nation for his wrong doings and found sympathy from sections of the media.
