A police officer was removed from 'field duty' today after he allegedly uploaded some obscene pictures in a WhatsApp group.
Narsinghpur superintendent of police Mukesh Shrivastava said the action was taken against S L Jharia, a local police station in-charge, after a complaint was received.
"One Bablu, administrator of the WhatsApp group, had made a complaint a couple of days ago that Jharia posted obscene pictures in the group. Jharia was removed from field duty following the complaint," Shrivastava said.
Sub-divisional officer of police Naresh Sharma has been asked to conduct further inquiry, he added.
