Celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Alia Bhatt, Shraddha Kapoor have sung in their films. Kailash says he does not feel threatened by this trend.
"I am not threatened by these actors at all. It's a beautiful and refreshing change in the industry. There was a time when singers like Kishore Kumar used to sing and act in his films.
"We are going back to our roots and follwing the same trend. This initiative also helps to enhance the popularity of the movie," Kailash told PTI.
The 41-year-old singer says he will continue singing songs that will define spirituality despite the legal trouble that he faced for 'Babam Bam'.
"I feel one should not be affected by bad and rather inspired by good. I will not be hesitant to sing spiritual songs. I will continue singing. I don't know what was hurting in that song. It's just an attempt to take undue advantage," said Kailash.
"There are six songs in the film which I have composed. Every song has come out of a story. It has a friendship song, an item number and a romantic track. They are sung by singers like Shreya Ghoshal and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. I have also sung one song in it," he added.
