"If there are over 150 children in one classroom, even if God decides to teach, he can't," Sisodia said during the inauguration of 17 new classrooms in SKV school in Mayur Vihar area.
He also thanked PWD for making 17 classrooms in the budget allocated for 16 classrooms.
"There is a huge dearth of classrooms in government schools and there are schools where over 150 children study in one room; we can imagine what they can learn in such an atmosphere.
The minister said that government has doubled the education budget after looking at the state of affairs in the education sector.
Around 8,000 new classrooms are being constructed in government schools in Delhi, he added.
"Construction in some schools have been completed, rest would be completed by July. This project is on the priority of PWD," he added.
