An inquiry into five controversial land deals in Shimla has been completed with the report on the same ready to be sent to the state government, official sources said today.
The report by the Shimla additional district magistrate has been submitted to deputy collector Dinesh Malhotra who will now forward the same to the state government.
Malhotra, however, refused to divulge the findings of the probe into the allegedly questionable deals which the Congress had taken up as a campaign issue during the last Assembly elections in the state.
The deals investigated include the one involving construction of luxury villas in the suburbs of Shimla, mentioned in the Congress chargesheet submitted to the President of India in August, 2012.
The Congress had also raised the issue of construction of flats in Bemloe and drawn attention to benami transactions in Rampur Kyonthal, near Tutu.
The other deals which were under the scanner include the Bentony Castle deal in the heart of Shimla and an alleged violation by APG University.
