Sinha has been appointed as Nodal Officer in addition to his present duties, an official release said here this evening.
"He would collect all existing video recordings and all other evidence from both private and public sources that can pinpoint the damage that occurred to various public and private properties from February 14 to 23, throughout the State and that can establish nexus with the actual perpetrators of the damage as well as organisers of the event that precipitated the damage," the release said.
An FIR had been registered in Rohtak against Virender and Man Singh Dalal, who also allegedly figured in the taped conversation after an audio clip came to fore.
They had been booked under various sections of the IPC, including section 124-A (sedition) and section 120-B (conspiracy), DGP Yashpal Singhal had told the media in Hisar yesterday.
