Uttar Pradesh is reeling under total disorder and anarchy, BJP MP Yogi Adityanath said today here appealing to the people to vote for BJP to root out the lawlessness in the state.
Adityanath was addressing a rally in favour of Apna Dal candidate Krishna Patel, mother of Mirzapur MP Anupriya Patel, ahead of the bypoll to Rohania Assembly seat here.
Invoking Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, he said, "Had the Congress handed over the country's charge after Independence to Sardar Patel, the entire face of the nation would have been different today."
Praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said, "Narendra Modi is working in the footsteps of Sardar Patel, who had carried out the task of uniting all the princely states. In the same manner, Modi is working for the development of the country."
Lambasting the misgovernance of Uttar Pradesh by Samajwadi Party, Adityanath said BJP will curb the rising crime and prevailing lawlessness in UP, if voted to power and appealed to people to vote for Apna Dal, an ally of BJP.
"If people vote in favour of their party, which has an alliance with Apna Dal here, then such menace will be curbed from the state as well as the whole country," he said.
The BJP leader also took on the SP blaming it for the "total chaos" in the state and also accused the ruling party of putting nationalist workers behind bars while revoking the FIRs of terrosrists and assured people that if BJP came to power, people would not have to face such lawlessness.
Taking a jibe at the development in the state, Adityanath said the borders of UP is identified from the place "where bad roads begins".
Addressing the rally, BJP state president Laxmi Kant Bajpai said Modi would develop Varanasi on the lines of Kyoto in Japan.
