Amitabh Bachchan has expressed sadness over one of his fans' reaction after the megastar could not wish her on her birthday.
A fan of the 72-year-old actor asked him to unfollow her on micro-blogging site Twitter because he wished her a day late.
"Amita has been upset that I did not wish her on the 15th ... My apologies. When you are in different time zone, jet lag and body temperament goes through so many changes... She has expressed on Twitter that I should not follow her anymore and that I am false in my expressions of greeting. Well...
"At times when some Ef are not responded to, they send admonishing responses to me. It almost sounds abusive! I am not deserving of this, yet I let it pass by in the larger interests of our association...," Bachchan posted on his blog.
The "Shamitabh" star has, however, assured his extended family (Ef) to try to be more connected with them in future.
"I shall make more effort is all I can say, and I do each day keep thinking of ways to improve my connect with all. If that is not sounding or looking convincing, then I am at fault, and if as a result of that any among you wish to show disinterest and disconnect, I shall feel sad about it, but shall never stop you from doing what you wish...," he added.
