Continuing its raids, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation today seized 185 kgs of Maggi instant noodles from 807 shops in the city.
A statement from AMC said the raids would continue and the shopkeepers should not stock the banned noodles.
Following imposition of one-month ban on Maggi by the Gujarat government, AMC had yesterday raided 1,296 shops in the city and seized more than 820 kgs of the noodles.
Government on June 4 imposed a ban for one month on sale, procurement or distribution of Maggi, after the tests results showed presence of Monosodium Glutamate (MSG) and higher-than-prescribed lead levels in its samples.
Similar ban was also been imposed on S K Foods noodles for high lead content.
The AMC health department has also issued notices to 273 shops and imposed a fine of Rs 23,950 for improper storage and lack of hygiene.
