On day two of the conciliation proceedings, it is understood that there was some amount of cooling off from both sides which had remained adamant on their respective stands on key issues.
The talks, which would continue tomorrow, are being held following a Delhi High Court directive to the airline management and the pilots to hold day-to-day conciliation proceedings to expeditiously resolve issues relating to reinstatement of sacked pilots and their career progression.
The court has asked the the Labour Commissioner to report back the proceedings on Friday when it takes up the matter for further hearing.
Over 400 pilots, led by the now-derecognised union Indian Pilots Guild (IPG), had gone on a 58-day strike over issues like promotions and training on Boeing 787 Dreamliner planes.
Besides seeking revocation of all sack orders, the IPG is demanding withdrawal of all cases slapped by the airline against the pilots and complaints lodged against them with the DGCA, restoration of recognition to IPG and payment of pending salaries and allowances.
