Unidentified persons allegedly set fire to the AIADMK party office here today partially damaging the premises, police said.
Police said a large number of furniture in the office and some two-wheelers parked outside were gutted in the fire.
The incident was suspected to be the fallout of the clash between the supporters of AIADMK and DMK yesterday in which AIADMK MP Senthilnathan suffered injuries, police said.
The clash broke out after some unidentified men made sarcastic remarks against the DMK candidate Periyakaruppan.
