All pre-2007 applicants to get tubewell connections: Sukhbir

Punjab government would give tube well connections to all the pre 2007 applicants within one month, Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal said today.
Installation of more than 300 deep tube wells in the 'Kandi' (sub mountainous) areas of Punjab has already been approved, Badal said here.
"It is SAD-BJP alliance government that has been clearing the pendency of tube well connections to the farmers whereas previous Congress government never bothered to release even a single connection," he said.
On the Punjab State Scheduled Castes Land Development and Finance Corporation, he said that the corporation was focusing on giving easy credit to SC population to start their own ventures.

Calling upon youth to focus on self employment ventures, Deputy CM said in the era of economic growth and industrialisation there was a great future for budding entrepreneurs.
