Almond strengthens on seasonal demand

Almond prices advanced by Rs 50 per 40 kg in the national capital today on increased offtake by stockists and retailers, driven by wedding and winter season demand.
However, other dryfruits moved in a narrow range in limited deals and settled around previous levels.
Marketmen said increased offtake by stockists and retailers, triggered by ongoing wedding and winter season demand against restricted supplies from producing regions kept almond and its kernel prices higher.
Almond (California) inched up by Rs 50 to Rs 22,050 per 40 kg and its kernel followed suit and edged up by Rs 5 to Rs 775-785 per kg.
