"26, Alipur Road residence where Dr Ambedkar breathed his last would be converted into his memorial. It would house the memorabilia of Dr Ambedkar and a photo gallery covering all important aspects of his life and work," a Ministry official said.

The committee also recommended that a structure inspired by Buddhist architecture should house the memorial of Ambedkar who embraced Buddhism later in his life.
