Khanna used the term 'babu moshai' for Amitabh in 'Anand', a monikar which continues to associated with the actor.
The late actor played a terminally ill patient in the Hrishikesh Mukherjee directed 1971 film while Amitabh played his Bengali doctor Bhaskar Banerjee.
Shah Rukh, Salman and Aamir also played their respect to Bollywood's first superstar.
Katrina Kaif, scriptwriter and Khanna's neighbour Salim Khan, Yash Chopra, Randhir Kapoor, Arbaaz and Malaika Khan, Rishi Kapoor, Goldie Behl, Anu Malik were among other celebrities who visited Khanna's residence today.
According to family sources, Khanna's funeral will be held tomorrow around 11.30AM at Pawan Hans crematorium in Juhu.
