Anandi Patel inaugurates campaign against malnutrition

Launching initiatives towards a healthy and hygienic state, Gujarat Chief Minister Anandi Patel today inaugurated a campaign against malnutrition in the tribal district of Dahod, 200 kms from here.
"The people's movement to make tribal district Dahod malnutrition-free will show the way to entire Gujarat in its journey towards malnutrition-free state," Chief Minister Anandi Patel said while inaugurating 'Kuposhan Mukta Dahod' (malnutrition-free Dahod) campaign today.
Patel also launched 101 programmes for development and inaugurated a police training building in the district.
She stressed that the future of the state will be bright if mothers and children are provided nutritious food.

"Mothers and children have been given the place of God in our society, so we (the state government) has initiated the campaign against malnutrition," Patel said in a release here.
Patel also launched a programme of providing 'nutritious food kit' for pregnant women to protect them from malnutrition and distributed cheques worth of Rs five crore to strengthen the 'Sakhi mandals' (women's group) in state.

She emphasised on the need for making toilets in each and every household in the state.
"This is the matter of shame for us that still many of our houses do not have toilets. Prime minister Narendra Modi has started an initiative for making toilets in each and every house. We must join this initiative for making a hygienic and healthy society," Patel said.

The CM also distributed shock emanating torch like devices to girls for their self-protection. She has also inaugurated complaint redressal system in each school of Dahod district in Gujarat.
On this occasion, individual donors including the state government employees and organisations also provided a financial aide of Rs 25 lakh.
State ministers Bhupendra Chudasama, Rajnikant Patel, Vasuben Trivedi and Member of Parliament from Dahod Lok Sabha seat, Jaswantsinh Bhabhor were amongst the attendees.
