Ankita, Sharrmadaa advance at ITF event in Indonesia

Third seeded Indian pair of Ankita Raina and Sharrmadaa Baluu cruised to the quarterfinals of the USD 25,000 ITF women's doubles event even as two other Indians made a first round exit, here today.
Ankita and Sharrmadaa defeated Japanese pair of Miyabi Inoue and Mai Minokshi 6-4 6-3 in the opening round of the hard court event.
Interestingly, Ankita will open her singles campaign against her partner Sharrmadaa tomorrow.
Shweta Rana and Natasha Palha bowed out of the doubles event along with their respective partners.
Shweta and her Australian partner Leah Daw suffered a tame 2-6 1-6 defeat against Chinese team of Xiaorong Dong and Boyan Wang.
Fourth seeded pair of Natasha and Slovak Republic's Zuzana Zlochova went down fighting 6-2 7-6(5) against Yihong Li and Lin Zhu from China.
