Ansari told judge R M Parmar that he did not want a trial, and he was admitting the guilt.

The court fixed the next hearing for tomorrow, when charges against him are likely to be framed.

A huge cache of arms and ammunition was recovered by the police from Radhanpur, Patan district, in October 2001. It included four AK-56 rifles, six magazines of AK-56, over 500 live rounds and 250 pistol bullets.

Four persons were arrested and sentenced to 10 years in prison, while Ansari, Adam Cheema and Akhtab Ahmed were absconding.

Ansari was brought to the city in February in connection with the case. He has been sentenced to death by a trial court in Kolkata in the American Center attack. His appeal is pending in the Supreme Court, which has stayed the death sentence. PTI VKB PD KRK
