Authorities today issued notices to 352 establishments within the municipal limits for removal of encroachments on roads and public spaces in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Reviewing its anti-encroachment drive and restoration of essential services and proposals for upgrading infrastructure in urban areas, Additional District Development Commissioner A S Chib and the administrator of municipal committee issued notices to 352 shops and establishments, an official spokesperson said.
He said the notices were issued after a detailed spot verification by revenue, municipal committee and works authorities.
Earlier, a team headed by Additional Deputy Commissioner A Q Mir completed the marking of encroachments in the town for widening of approach road with cooperation from owners.
DDC of Rajouri Shahid Iqbal Choudhary directed the sub-divisional administration for proper demarcation, marking of encroachments and subsequent issuing of notices.
In three separate anti-encroachment drives more than 126 structures have been removed to retrieve 310 Kanal of prime land worth Rs 70 to 80 crore in the last three months, the spokesperson said.
