The Pakistan Cricket Board said that Anwar, who was rested for the two T20 matches but included in the squad for the three ODIs, was out of the series now.
"Aamir Yamin who is already in the T20 squad will replace Anwar for the one-day matches as well," a PCB official said.
He said Anwar was presently undergoing rehabilitation for his fitness problem.
Anwar, a budding young allrounder, who has played 17 ODIs and 11 T20 matches for Pakistan, has been replaced by the rookie Aamir Yamin who has performed well in domestic cricket.
Anwar said he was disappointed but was still feeling uncomfortable bowling because of his calf muscle problem.
"But I am resting and also doing necessary rehab and I am confident I will be back in action soon," Ali said.
Pakistan has faced a spate of fitness problems with its players since last year with its bowlers causing headache for the national selectors.
Left arm pacers Wahab Riaz and Muhammad Irfan returned to the Pakistan squad for the Zimbabwe tour after weeks of rehabilitation after they suffered fitness issues after the World Cup.
