AP government prepares 100-days plan to make APSRTC profitable

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister N Chinarajappa said here today that the state government has prepared a 100-days plan to make the state-run Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) profitable.
He said that the APSRTC incurred a Rs 200-crore loss.
Speaking after flagging off new four buses on Kakinada-Anantapur, Razole-Tirupati, Yeleswaram-Mohanapuram and Gokavaram-Kothaveedi routes at Kakinada APSRTC bus stand, he said that in East Godavari district alone, APSRTC incurred a loss of Rs 30 crore.
He said that modern buses would be introduced in Kakinada and Rajahmundry shortly under Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM) scheme.
