The company had posted a net profit of Rs 75.52 crore for the corresponding period of the previous fiscal, Apollo Hospitals said in a filing to the BSE.
Total income of the company also rose to Rs 998.18 crore for the quarter under consideration from Rs 848.29 crore for the same period year ago.
Net profit of the company for the fiscal year ended March 2014 also rose to Rs 330.72 crore, from Rs 309.12 crore for the previous fiscal year.
In a statement, Apollo Hospitals said that it added 300 beds in the last financial year. It will add another 1,000 beds across its eight hospitals in current financial year.
Apollo Hospitals in a separate filing to BSE said that the company's board has recommended a dividend of Rs 5.75 per share (115 per cent of the face value of the share) for the financial year ended March 31, 2014, on the paid up equity capital of the company.
