An assailant on a Jerusalem bus stabbed an off-duty Israeli soldier and tried to grab his weapon, lightly wounding him, before being shot dead by security forces, police said.
A police statement described the attacker as a "member of a minority", meaning an Arab, without specifying if he was a Palestinian or an Israeli citizen.
It was the fourth knife attack in the city today.
Four Jews wounded in the attacks, including a critically injured 13-year-old, and three Arab alleged attackers shot dead at the scene and two wounded.
