Areas in Mal block flooded due to rains

Large parts of Mal block in Jalpaiguri district were flooded following torrential rains since last week, district officials said.
At least 1500 people were confined to their homes due to flooding at Chanpadanga, Basusuba and Barmanpara in Mal BLOCK, SDO Jyotirmoy Pati said.
Efforts were on to shift them to safer and higher places and provide them with relief, he said.
