The Chennai driver was not happy with the engineering issues with the car. Armaan has competed in four races so far in the Indy series, scoring 45 points.

"Right now we have pulled out of the Indy team. They have not basically provided few things as per the contractual obligations," Armaan's father Akbar told PTI.

"There are no developments in the car. There is no point in continuing with the team, go with the sponsors money and finish eighth, ninth or tenth. No development work is planned," he added.

Asked what's the way forward for Armaan, Akbar said," We have various options available but nothing confirmed as yet. One is that we can tie up with some better team in the Indy races itself and the other is to join the GT series world championship which is coming to India also now."
