Armed men kill 1 in Darbhanga

Armed men killed one person and looted ornaments and cash worth over Rs one lakh in Darbhanga district, police said today.
A large group of men entered the houses of Lakshman Kumar and Ramvilas Singh in Jogiyara village last midnight and decamped with ornaments and cash worth lakhs of rupees, Deputy Superintendent of Police Neeraj Kumar said.
One Jaikishore Singh, a neighbour of the duo, was killed when he tried to foil the attempt by the dacoits.
Police have registered an FIR against unknown men and sent the body of the deceased to a nearby hospital for post-mortem.
