Army flags off senior citizens tour to Delhi, Jaipur

Army today flagged off a tour of senior citizens from border areas of Sunderbani in Rajouri district to Delhi and Jaipur with an aim to give them an insight into the rich culture and tradition of India.
A total of 25 senior citizens are participating in the 12-day trip which will have them visit places of tourist, historical and contemporary interests, and meet important dignitaries in both the cities, a defence spokesman said.
The tour is organised under the Operation 'Sadhbhavana' by the Army under the aegis of Crossed Swords Division, the spokesman said.
