Army foils infiltration bid on LoC, kills three militants

Army today killed three militants as it foiled a major infiltration bid on the Line of Control (LoC) in Naugam sector of Kashmir.
Combing operation in the dense bushes was still going on as the troops had spotted 5-6 infiltrators, Army said.
Troops of 35 Rashtriya Rifles guarding the LoC intercepted a group of five to six militants who were trying to sneak into this sidefrom Pakistan-occupied Kashmir near Toot Mari Gali in Naugam sector early this morning, an Army official said.
He said the troops challenged the infiltrating militants who opened firing, triggering a gunbattle between the two sides. "Threemilitants have been killed so far," the official said.

Hesaid additional reinforcements have been rushed to the area for intensifying combing operations in the morning.
