Army jawan killed in gunfight with ultras in Budgam

An army jawan was killed and three were wounded in a fierce gunbattle with militants in Kashmir's Budgam district today, police said.
Security forces launched a cordon-and-search operation in village Kausarmullah in Chadoora area following information about the presence of militants there, a police spokesman said.
As security forces zeroed in on their target, hiding ultras fired at them triggering a gunfight which was still raging, he said.
Four army troopers were wounded in the exchange of fire, an army spokesman said.
One of them succumbed to his injuries, he said adding the three others were hospitalised.
