Army refutes allegation of transgression in Haji Peer sector

"No LoC (Line of Control) transgression has been resorted to by the Indian army in Uri Sector on Jan 6, 2013, as alleged. Pakistan has carried out cease fire violations on (the intervening) night (of) January 5 and 6, and controlled retaliation was carried out by our side," an army spokesman said in a statement.

"It is denied that any permission was ever sought by the GOC for aggressive action against any Pakistani post," he said.
