A cycling expedition of the Army today reached the Indian Military Academy in Dehradun to commemorate the Third Reunion of the Army Aviation Corps.
The six-member team, led by Capt Kritarth Kala, had commenced their expedition on October 23 from Bareilly Cant. and reached Dehradun after cycling through the route including Haldwani, Najibabad and Raiwala, an IMA statement said.
During their halt at Dehradun, the team visited the IMA and interacted with the cadets undergoing training at the academy.
The cadets were briefed about the 'Yeoman Service' provided by the Aviation Corps to the nation during crucial military operations and natural disasters.
The expedition is a tribute to the continuous and dedicated service provided by the Aviation Corps since its inception in 1986.
After an interaction with the cadets, the team was felicitated by the Commandant of the IMA, Lt Gen S K Jha. He appreciated the team for their efforts and the cause for which they have undertaken this expedition.
The expedition will culminate at Bareilly Cantt on November 1 after traversing a distance of 950 kilometres.
