City-based art and culture organisation Trijya conducted the workshop for three days beginning November 12.
Training sessions in painting drawing cartoons and watercolours for around 300 children were held at three centres -- the children home at Jahangirpuri, at Firoshah Kotla and at the Tughlakabad Girls Shelter home.
Prayas is an organisation which works for the cause of missing, abandoned and sub-judiced children and Trijya says it endeavours to "foster sensitivity and a taste for art in such children."
Speaking about the workshop, Vishwajeet Ghoshaal, Director (Project) Prayas said such efforts bring out the hidden talent of children.
"Our main objective is to promote and protect different forms of art. Trijya works towards making the children sensitive towards art. Through such programmes we will identify talent among children and develop an appropriate platfrom for them," says Smarika Khari, General Secretary, Trijya.
