Assam Governor, CM greet people on Durga Puja

Assam Governor Banwarilal Purohit and Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal today greeted the people of the state on the occasion of Durga Puja.
In a message to the people, the governor said, "Durga Puja marks the eternal essence of victory of good over evil and usher in hope and bright future. I hope that the festivity strengthens the spirit of unity to fight against all evils."
"May Maa Durga, the deity of Shakti, guide us all in the path of righteousness and bless us all with peace, joy and prosperity," Purohit said.
In another message, Sonowal said, "On the occasion of Durga Puja, I convey my warm greetings and good wishes to all the people of Assam."

He said, "Let the celebrations of Durga Puja really mark the triumph of good forces over the bad ones and strengthen the harmonious co-existence of our composite society".
