Autistic students appearing for class XII examinations in Maharashtra have been allowed to use a basic calculator.
These students can use a basic calculator for maths, physics, chemistry, book-keeping and accountancy papers, Education Minister Vinod Tawde said today.
The decision has been taken on humanitarian grounds and it fulfils a long-standing demand of medical experts, he said.
The Higher Secondary Certificate (std XII) examinations of the Maharashtra Board commenced from today.
