The centre spends Rs 8,59,89,000 on Central Council for Research in Homeopathy (CCRH), Minister of State for AYUSH, Sripad Yesso Naik, said in a written reply to the Rajya Sabha.
The council functions through a network of 40 institutes and units located in different parts of the country.
CCRH units are engaged in research in various aspects of homoeopathy such as clinical research, drug proving research, clinical verification research, drug standardisation and survey of medicinal Plants.
The Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine (CCRUM) gets 5,88,52,000 from the centre annually. Rs 4,97,10,207 is spent on Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) which is the apex body for undertaking, coordinating, formulating, developing and promoting research in Ayurveda on scientific lines.
Central Council for Research in Siddha (CCRS) receives Rs 14,02,000 and Central Council for Research in Yoga and Naturopathy (CCRYN) gets 10,67,000 annually from the government, he said.
