Badal gives nod to land for hospital in Ferozepur

Punjab government today alloted 25 acres of land in Ferozepur to PGIMER, Chandigarh for setting up of a 100-bedded hospital as its satellite centre.
This would be the second such centre after the upcoming one at Sangrur.
A spokesperson of the Chief Minister's Office said Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal agreed to the proposal mooted by the Financial Commissioner Development to allot 25 out of 50 acres of panchayat land at Wajidpur village near Ferozepur to the Horticulture Department in lieu of its land to the PGIMER for establishing its satellite centre.
