The case, filed by Madras Safire Printers against Manobala and other two directors of M/s Insight Entertainment Media Limited here, is about the dishonour of a cheque for Rs 4 lakh issued by the company, in which Manobala was also a partner.
Safire Printers filed a petition in a Metropolitan Magistrate's court under the Negotiable Instruments Act. The company alleged that Manobala, third accused in the case, had prevented the other two accused from appearing in court despite repeated summons.
The company then filed a petition before the fast track court judge Giri for issuance of a warrant against Manobala, following which bailable warrant was issued and the matter posted to April 10.
