Bajaj Electricals eyes Rs 5,000 cr turnover by FY'15

Home appliances manufacturer Bajaj Electricals is looking at a turnover of Rs 5,000 crore by the end of financial year 2015.
"This fiscal, we are looking at a turnover of Rs 4,200 crore. In the next financial year, the company is looking at a turnover of Rs 5,000 crore", Chairman and Managing Director of Bajaj Electricals Shekhar Bajaj said.
Of that, about 2 per cent (Rs 100 crore) will accrue from exports, he added.
Bajaj said the company would remain focussed on the low-end home appliances segment and would not venture in the white goods sector.
"We are practically the market leader in almost in all the home appliances segment like fans, toasters, OTG and others. We have a competitive edge in that segment," he added.
Bajaj Electricals Joint Managing Director Anant Bajaj said the order book position of engineering and projects division of the company is at a healthy Rs 2,100 crore.
"At the start of the next fiscal, we will start with a healthy order book position of Rs 1,500 crore", he said.
The company would expand its retail outlets named 'Bajaj World' across the country from 68 at present to 100 by the end of the current financial year, March 31.
Bajaj Electricals was also engaged in procuring contracts under the Rajiv Gandhi Gramin Vidyutikaran Yojana for rural electrification.
