Bangladeshi actor Khalil Ullah Khan no more

Veteran actor Khalil Ullah Khan died here today due to poor health. He was 80.
The 'Sonar Kajol' actor had been suffering from lung, liver and kidney ailments for some years and was hospitalised several times after falling critically ill, reported bdnews24 online.
Khan's body will be taken to his home in Mohammadpur's Noorjahan Road, his son Musa Khan said.
The Bengali actor from Sylhet -- who starred in nearly 800 films including 'Jongli Phool', 'Bini Sutar Mala', 'Wada' and 'Bou Kotha Kow'-- leaves behind a treasure trove of memorable performances in a career spanning over five decades.
A large number of people from Bangladesh's cultural world were seen in the hospital lobby along, who had rushed there to catch a last glimpse of their favourite actor.
His Namaz-e-Janaza will be held at his long-time work place, the Bangladesh Film Development Corporation at 3am, his son added.
He will be buried in Mohammadpur after Esha prayers.
A condolence message on his death was posted on the Facebook page of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's press wing.
