: Federation of Bar Associations of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry today announced a two-day boycott of courts from February 19 protesting failure to take action against guilty police personnel in connection with the violent incidents in the Madras High Court campus in 2009.
A resolution to this effect was passed at the Association's excutive meeting here.
It said lawyers would observe Feb 19 as 'black day' for no action being taken against police for 'beating them' up inside the court campus.
The protest was also to press filling up 18 vacancies of judges in the court.
