According to Brolin, who plays John Short in the show, there is a definite possibility that Streisand may take the director's chair in the second season, said The Hollywood Reporter.
"I went to her originally and proposed that she might direct one. She said maybe in the second season once we're settled," Brolin said.
Costar on show Thomas Sadoski, says the 73-year-old filmmaker is no strange to "Life In Pieces" as she has seen them shoot.
Executive producer Jason Winer wants Streisand to guest star in the sitcom, but Brolin feels directing will be the best thing for her to do, if she is able to take some time out from her busy schedule.
"If she has a lot of room to change the script, move things around, choose between two or three scripts, then perhaps. I don't know if that's going to happen.
