Barmer hottest in Rajasthan, Kota records 44.8

Barmer was the hottest place in Rajasthan today, recording a maximum of 44.9 degrees Celsius, while Kota sizzled at 44.8 degrees.
Bikaner, Churu and Jodhpur recorded maximums of 44.6 deg C, 44 deg C and 43.6 degrees Celsius.
Jaipur and Ajmer also breached the 40-degree mark, recording maximums at 42.3 deg C and 42.2 degrees Celsius respectively, according to Met department here.
Meanwhile, light rains occurred at isolated areas in the state during the last 24 hours.
Rains occurred in Udaipur, Jaipur and Kota divisions, with weather remaining dry in other areas.
Dust storm, accompanied by squall is likely to occur at isolated areas in the state during next 24 hours, a forecast said.
