Barricade case: Delhi minister announces Rs 5L compensation

Delhi Development Minister Gopal Rai today announced a Rs 5 lakh compensation for the next of kin of a man who died after his neck got stuck in a chain used to tie two police barricades.
Twenty-one-year-old Abhishek had died in the early hours of Thursday after his throat got slit by the chain.
The minister visited his family at Shakurpur JJ colony of north-west Delhi and expressed his condolences.
"During his visit, Rai assured them full support and announced a compensation of Rs 5 lakh for his kin," an official said.
