Kakodkar passed away on October 28 after prolonged illness. She was 81.
She was heading the BBSM since its inception in 2011 to oppose the decision of then Digambar Kamat-led government in the state to give grants to English medium schools.
"The condolence meeting would be held on November 5 in Panaji and on November 6 in Margao. All the well wishers of Kakodkar are invited to attend these meetings," BBSM convener Subhash Velingkar told PTI today.
The father-daughter duo were Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party leaders. She continued to rule the union territories till 1979 when she was ousted by a split within her party.
In the recent years, she was associated with BBSM, a front which has been a crusader of mother tongue as medium of instruction in elementary education.
