BCCI's stand on DRS remains same but open to talks: Dalmiya

Just a couple of days after India's Test captain Virat Kohli gave positive signals about the use of Decision Review System (DRS), the BCCI president Jagmohan Dalmiya today clarified that board's "stand remains same" but the Cricket Advisory Committee might take a call in future.
However, there was a slight contrast from his predecessor N Srinivasan's stand as Dalmiya stated that the BCCI is "open to discussions" and might use a modified version during a future bilateral series.
"It is clarified that the stand taken on the Decision Review System (DRS) by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) remains the same as on date. But that does not mean we would not be open to discussions internally on whether the DRS could be used partially or in its modified version during bilateral series," Dalmiya was quoted as saying in a press release.

Just after India's one-off Test match against Bangladesh ended, Kohli was asked about DRS and he said, "You have to sit and analyse and ask the bowlers what they feel about it. Ask the batters what they feel about that. We literally just came into this Test match with very less time on hand. So now that we have time, I am sure these discussions will take place."
However, Dalmiya in his statement, echoed the sentiments of ODI captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who has always maintained that DRS in its current form is not "foolproof".
"The argument against the use of DRS technology is that the system is not foolproof yet. However, since the issue involves technical aspects, views of the Cricket Advisory Committee could also be obtained by BCCI in the subject issue," Dalmiya further said in his release.
