bigbasket touches 25,000 customers in Coimbatore

The bigbasket, India's largest online supermarket, has successfully catered to 25,000 customers in and around the city in a short span of one year.
The company is very excited to have crossed 25,000 customers mark in Coimbatore, as it received an overwhelming response from the residents, bigbasket Regional Business Head, Sundar R, said in a release here today +In the city, 75 per cent of the orders are received through the app,+ he said, adding that bigbasket has become a preferred choice for Coimbatore's supermarket shoppers.
Fruits and Vegetables, staples and household items witnessed the maximum demand among the people of Coimbatore, he said.

Sales from bigbasket's private label are expected to go up to 40 per cent of turnover over 6 to 8 months from the present 35 per cent, the release said.
